A song to remember the sinking of the Ship, Ellan Vannin, (of the Isle of Mann Company). While big Ocean Liners sheltered from the terrible storm, the little ship Ellen Vannin braved the waves and was lost to the North Irish Sea. She sunk off the coast of Liverpool bay, with many lives lost on 03 December 1909. Ellen Vannin is still fondly remembered amongst people on the Island in many songs and folk tales alike.
